The Music

I just have to make a comment about my playlist. All I can say about it is "High School Dances" I had too much fun pulling some of these songs out of the woodwork, I have enjoyed listening to them. They remind me of times where the only stress was if I had the right shoes that day. Thankfully, I have matured and grown up but I still have a past. Gotta Love it!!

I'm Learning

So it has been an eventful week. I have been attending canning classes through a lady in my ward. They have been wonderful. The only thing is, doing it at a class, you don't really have a chance to mess up. I was scared, but today I ventured out on my own, borrowed this lady pressure steamer and canned my own chicken. My husband was mortified that I was going to can chicken. Well, for one, at 1.39 a pound you can't beat that price, and for two I have no place to store the 40 pounds of chicken that you had to buy to get it at that price, and for three I use can chicken in a lot of things and finally, it tastes good. Believe it or not! So I bought my chicken and canned it. It was actually successful. I am so proud of myself.

Young Womens is going well, this is a very demanding, stressful, yet rewarding calling. Sometimes the burden is to heavy to carry, I just pray that I am doing what my Heavenly Father wants me to. Without Him I couldn't do it. We are planning our Young Women In Excellence, for November 5th, as well as Volleyball, and a Stake Dance Festival, all on top of our regular Sunday Meetings and Wednesday Mutual Activities. Whoooo!

I finished teaching my month of Preschool. YEA!! It was a lot of fun, but Jack sure made it difficult with showing off, wanting to do things his way, and pouting when it didn't happen. I am glad we are doing it monthly because now I don't have to worry about it until December.

So here is our most up to date family photo. Why do I have to close my eyes? In case there is any confusion, this is my real smile, any smile that my eyes are open is fake. I have actually had pictures where they have pasted in a pair of my open eyes from a different picture to a shot with my closed eyes. Hey, that's me. It is up to date, but not my favorite picture. And for those who know, care, or are interested here is a photo of my whole family.

Audrey's 2nd Birthday

Our baby just turned 2. How time flies. We had a fun day celebrating, she woke up to presents and ripped them open in a minute, all the while Jack was complaining that he couldn't open any. Then I actually had to teach preschool in the morning. Which Jack complained all the way through, then after Naps (Jack, Audrey, and Dad) we went into Salt Lake to get Audrey a Build-A-Bear monkey. Monkey's are her favorite thing, so to go along with her Curious George movie and cake, we got her a monkey. She named it "Schmonkey" It is her new best friend, and if she needs comfort, she now has to have her Schmonkey along with her "Gicky" (her blanket) and her "Dummy" (her pacifier) and her "Mama" (That would be me, Mom). It was a good day. She is strong willed and independant, but I remember the age of 3 being worse for Jack, so I am still waiting the real attitude to appear in about a year, and I am not calling it the terrible two's because I know it just gets better.
Chris got his paycheck today, and logged 144 hours in the last two weeks. In case math is hard, that would be about 72 hours in one week. It is no wonder I am possessive of his time when he is home.

My first blog - its about bloody time! Apparently!

I must not be as computer savvy as I thought, this has taken me ages to figure out. Amanda Otis, I blame you :)
Life is good right now, Chris just played in a mock disaster drill involving three counties, and had fun doing that. He loves his job, and just gets to "play" all day. Sheila is involved with a few other women in doing a homebound preschool for Jack where all the kids rotate houses, and is having way to much fun. She is enjoying Young Women's as well, and is getting ready for the Young Women in Excellence program in November. Jack is our little ball of fire as ever. He lives to play with friends. He asks for it in every prayer he utters. He is a good brother to Audrey. Audrey, is so much to 2 year old, with her birthday on Sep. 18th she is showing us who is boss. She is adorable and loves to tease Jack.
